Who is Assignment Geek?

Assignment Geek has an “About Us” section, which you can see below.

In the “About Us” section, Assignment Geek claims to have over 500 writers.

Further down into the “About Us” section, you’ll see the history of the company. Here is a little excerpt where you can see they use the word “mates” which is definitely an Australian term.

The use of the word “mates” makes it clear that Assignment Geek is in Australia.

But when we ask the chat agent, he gives us two locations: Cleveland, Ohio and London, UK.

Although the company seems to be in Australia, the chat agent tells us they’re in London.

As we continue, we realize we must be wrong. If Assignment Geek is in Australia, why would the chat agent say this??

The chat agent seemed to think our IP address is in Australia?? We assure you it is NOT.

How Much is a Paper?

When getting a price, we saw that the “Pricing” page shows this:

The pricing page quotes for 100 words, but a full page is closer to 300 words.

But then the chat agent makes it clear that a full page is closer to 300 words.

The chat agent explains the full length of a page is closer to 300 words.

So, why list prices based on 100 words if a full page is closer to 300 words? When the chat agent gave us a price on a very basic project (1 page due in 2 days) here was the price.

The price per page (due in 2 days) is over $35.00!

Over $35 per page with a 2-day deadline? That is really high. It’s certainly way, way off from the initial number that lures a person in on the “Pricing” page (about $5 for 100 words).

Online Reviews:

We checked Trustpilot and Sitejabber for reviews for Assignment Geek. We found several to consider. We don’t usually show the good ones, as what we’re really concerned with are what are the common denominators in the negative reviews.

trustpilot.com reviews for Assignment Geek
sitejabber.com reviews for Assignment Geek

The negative reviews mostly talk about missed deadlines, broken English, and plagiarism.

Pros & Cons:

Pros:

  1. The service has been around since 2013/2014
  2. Friendly chat agents
  3. Offer plenty of services

Cons:

  1. Essay service outside of the US (not 100% sure where, but likely the UK)
  2. High prices (over $35 per page if you have a 2-day deadline)
  3. Negative reviews that claim the writers use broken English

Final Thoughts:

The main issue we have, aside from really high prices, is we can’t get a straight answer on where the company is located. They claim to be in the UK, so we’ll go with that. The main concern there is that you might get a paper back with British English (spellings that differ from American English).

The reviews are mostly positive (and we aren’t going to debate whether they’re all real) with a few talking about missed deadlines, plagiarism, rude customer service, and broken English. Most essay services get a handful of bad reviews, though, so we don’t hold that against them too much.

You can try them out. It’s good that they’ve been around for a long time. It lends credibility. Like we said, we’re just concerned about the high prices and the questions on where the company is located.
