Who is A-Writer?

According to the site, A-writer only employes writers who have a minimum of a Master’s Degree. Red flag alert! That is incredibly hard to believe. Moving on, though, you will pay more, depending on the level of writer you select. Now, in our opinion, all writers should be top-notch at a writing service. You shouldn’t be subject to “upselling” to get a great writer!

When we asked a chat agent where the company is located, she answered “Delaware.” If we had a dime for every time an essay writing service said they are located in Delaware, we probably wouldn’t be running a review site. We’d be too busy soaking in our hot tub and enjoying the ocean view from our mansion! We can’t prove where the company is located, but the IP address is in Columbus, Ohio, not Delaware.

What are the Prices?

A-writer.com has the highest prices we’ve seen anywhere online. The typical rate (with a 2 day deadline) is around $22-27 per page. With A-writer, you will pay much more than average. Look at the illustration below, taken from their website (August 2021). With 2 days’ notice, to get their best writer you will pay $42 per page! Yikes! Even with 3 days’ notice, you are looking at $38 per page. That’s kind of insanity to be honest. We’re not sure what on earth they’re using to justify those prices, but it’s much too high for the average Ramen-eating, coin laundry-using college student. When there are so many other, much cheaper, essay writing services to choose from, why would anyone want to pay these rates?

Unless you upgrade to at least a “Premium,” if not a “Platinum” writer, which of course is more money per page, then you can’t expect to be made a high priority. That does not seem right, does it? ALL writers on a site should be able to handle a high-priority order without forcing you to choose a more qualified person to tackle your paper (for more money!). That is the definition of upselling. See below.

Refund Policy:

Kim, a chat agent, told us that a customer has 72 hours from the time they get a paper back to request a refund. The problem with such a short time limit on refund requests is that sometimes students don’t get their grade back in 3 days’ time. So if they get an “F” on a paper, but the grade comes in over 72 hours from completion, then apparently the student is disqualified from refunds.

Online Reviews:

There are just not many reviews for a-writer.com anywhere online. New essay writing services will not show many online reviews, so I asked a chat agent how long the company has been in business. Here is what Kim said.

Final Thoughts:

Although there is a lot of content on A-writer.com’s website, there is not much to report. The prices are really, really high compared to the competition. Normally, we see suspiciously low prices, not the other way around. That is a head-scratcher. They say all the writers have a minimum of a Master’s Degree, which is unusual for an online essay writing service.

They were deceptive about where the company is located. The chat agent said Delaware, but the IP address is Columbus, Ohio. Even that does not mean they’re in the US. It’s pretty mysterious, and it shouldn’t be. A company writing English language papers should be forthcoming about where they are from, and where their writers are from. It shouldn’t be like pulling teeth to get that kind of information.

All in all, the company is too mysterious for our taste. You can try them out, but just know they’re priced about 50% higher than the competition! If you’re on a budget, you may not want to take a chance on a company with one online review on Sitejabber.
